Bonjour Gang - Directeur-Sportif J.P. here w/ a head's-up that the 2025 Zero-Balance bike Tour is scheduled for June 29th (Sunday), rain or shine.
ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION fellow ZB-ers - due to repair work being conducted on the Frenchtown-Uhlerstown bridge, bicycles & pedestrians are banned from the bridge through the Sunmer. Therefore we will be cycling a NEW ROUTE this year with NEW MEET UP LOCATIONS AS LISTED BELOW:
Below is the tentative 2025 itinerary:
Full Z-B riders start at Bulls Island State Park, NJ; ride South on NJ side towpath to meet up w/ 1/2 Z-B riders at Washington Crossing State Park, NJ; then cross the river and ride North on PA side towpath to New Hope for lunch.
Half Z-B riders start at Washington Crossing State Park, NJ; cross the river and ride North on PA side towpath to New Hope for lunch.
ALL RIDERS NOTE - a section of the PA side towpath just South of New Hope is closed for repairs; cyclists will need to detour around the closure by way of the road (PA Route-32).
Following lunch, 1/2 Z-B riders cross back over the river to Lambertville, NJ and return South on NJ side towpath to finish cycling back at Washington Crossing State Park, NJ. - then drive to Black Bass Inn at Lumberville, PA.
Following lunch, Full Z-B riders continue North on PA side towpath, to finish cycling in Lumberville, PA and meet up w/ 1/2 Z-B riders at Black Bass Inn.
After Black Bass, cross back over the river to Bulls Island and collect your automobile.
Following the completion of the ride, everyone meet up for ice cream at Dilly's in CenterBridge, PA (across river from Stockton, NJ).
The full length Z-B route amounts to +/-29 mostly flat unpaved miles.
The half length Z-B route amounts to +/-15 mostly flat unpaved miles.
Lunch break occurs in New Hope (+/- half-way for 1/2 Z-B route), followed by an optionalrefreshment meet-up at Black Bass Inn at Lumberville, PA.
Both groups meet up afterwards for ice cream at Dilly's in Centerbridge, PA.
BRING CASH!!! Small denominations makes for easier splitting of lunch & beverage tabs!
Full Z-B route start time: 10:00am Sharp departure from Bulls Island State Park. Plan to arrive EARLY (seriously), as parking is very limited due to popularity of Bulls Island State Park river access.
Half Z-B route start time: 11:00am-ish departure from Washington Crossing State Park, NJ (when others arrive from Bulls Island).
Non-riders (shoppers & lunchers), and also non-PCC friends/family are welcomed! Especially those non-riders with big vehicles, in case S.A.G. support is needed.
